Working on urban transformations of the city of Kolkata (West Bengal, India) along the lines of political shifts in the contemporary times. Interested in Urban Anthropology, Political Anthropology, South Asian Studies, Visual Politics, Gender Studies mainly in the context of South Asia. I am also trying to look the literatures emerging from the Global South-Middle/East, Latin America and Africa but my geographical area of research is mostly South Asia at the moment.
