I am a Ph.D. student in Performance Studies with a Designated Emphasis on Science and Technology Studies. My research focuses on posthumanism, game studies, feminist and queer studies, postcolonial studies, media studies, surveillance, and censorship. Currently, my research delves into the performativity of protests and the public sphere(s) in the digital revolution, with a close focus on the “Women, Life, Freedom” movement in Iran. I analyze the unique cyberactivism associated with the women's rights movement in Iran and its distributed networked structure as well as its posthumanist nature. I work with this structure as an apparatus for creating new media art and performances. As an artist, my current practice revolves around creating alternate reality games influenced by investigative journalism and documentary theater, serving as a platform for sociopolitical activism and pedagogy.
