On January 23, Dr. Brian Catlos will present his research on medieval Muslim Spain, querying the notion of tolerance as related to Muslim and Jewish life in a medieval context. This event is the first in The Middle East in Historical Context series, organized and sponsored by the Department of History, the Middle East/South Asia Studies Program, and the California History Social-Science Project at UC Davis.
